Paul George’s signature PG 2 is releasing in a Mamba Mentality theme next, and like the nickname hit, it celebrates Mamba Day and Kobe Bryant this month. Inspired by Kobe Bryant’s Nike Prelude pack, the sneaker basically features a purple upper highlighted with graphics that were used on the upper of the Kobe 6. Other details completing the design altogether are blue laces, volt branding and a crimson lining.
Kyrie Irving Debuts Tennis-Inspired PE,Just hours ago, Nike unveiled Kyrie Irving's newest project: a collab with tennis player Nick Kyrgios on the Nike Vapor X Kyrie 5. With an upper inspired by the Kyrie 5 basketball model and the midsole tech and tooling of the Vapor X tennis shoe, the new sneaker blends the best of both sports, but it's not all the duo have up their sleeves. During the Boston Celtics' home showing against the Brooklyn Nets tonight, Irving laced up a "Hot Lava"-accented PE colorway of the Kyrie 5 which matches the color blocking of the Nike Vapor X Kyrie 5.Nearly all of the hybrid model's design traits are referenced on the hoops iteration, including a predominantly white upper with a black Swoosh, tongue, and liner, while the pink-leaning "Hot Lava" shade fills in the outsole and heel counter.The Nike Vapor X Kyrie 5 will be released next Monday, Jan. 14, although there are currently no drop details for this Kyrie 5 PE.
After a delayed rollout, the floodgates on the KD 11 are open with several new colorways making the rounds this week. Following a "Multicolor" preview, we're now getting a look at what Nike has on tap for this year's Elite Youth Basketball Tournament.Picking up where the "Peach Jam" KD 10 left off, this new KD 11 also boasts the Peach Jam logo near the heel, although this new pair won't be exclusive to tournament participants. Images of the sneaker's grade school size were shared by @hoopcity_dongdaemun, depicting an upper mixing red and aqua Flyknit with grey and volt accents along with a vibrant pink React midsole.Keep it locked here to find out more details on the "EYBL" KD 11, which is expected to release in July.
The Dragon Ball Z x adidas Yung-1 Frieza and the adidas ZX 500 RM Goku are the first styles to drop from the exclusive Fall/Winter 2018 Dragon Ball Z X Adidas collection. The shoe features the signature colors of the character Frieza, and the style is inspired by the Yeezy Wave Runner 700 and Temper Run. Covered in white mesh and leather across its upper, contrasting accents of pink and purple are applied throughout. Finally, a matching rubber sole completes the design.
Kobe Bryant’s post retirement sneaker, the Nike Kobe AD Mid is releasing in a chrome/grey snake iteration next to replicate his mamba mentality. The basketball shoe’s grey upper is detailed with a full scaled design with suede accents on the tongue. Contrasting embroidered Swooshes in hues of red, orange and yellow are seen on the sides, while a white midsole and icy translucent outsole completes the style altogether.
